After the first success on the German market with its scale models of electric locomotives BB 110/139/182 DB, Jouef made the choice to reproduce the most requested passenger coaches by German modellers which can have also a SNCF French versions. If these passenger coaches were well reproduced by Jouef, the German market did not accept these coaches, as Jouef in order to reduce the production costs, did not paint frames in black as for the French coaches. It is the main characteristics of German coaches. Several years after, it was Fleischmann scale models maker who won the German market with the same Germaan coaches but in respect of the German usages.
