Mehano
The Yugoslav firm MEHANOTECHNIKA
was found in 1952. The production was turn towards US rolling stock, mainly as subcontractor of AHM
and MODEL-POWER
firms in the 1970's and 1980's.
Sold under the Jouef brand in 1989-1992 for the low cost market, there were several US locomotives manufactured by MEHANOTECHNIKA
. In late 1990, the firm which changed its name to MEHANO
, has an extended range with many TGV models. We can notice also that MEHANO
had manufactured as subcontractor for Jouef, the Eurostar trailers included in low range train sets, the diesel locomotive BB 67007 SNCF (ex-FOBBI model) and track section elements.
