Before manufacturing electric model trains, Jouef started by producing clokwork trains at near HO scale, meanwhile others manufacturers built models at O scale. These first Jouef models are toys. The sheet metal track is used for clockwork trains until the New Rails
track system was introduced in 1961. Note that for the last clockwork trainset, a fully plastic made track (rails and sleepers) was used.
