Jouef clockwork train sets

Jouef put on market a large range of train sets in order to be the French market leader, by using a low cost policy against others brands, and by train sets changes with new boxes or new contents but remaining the train sets names.
Most of train sets could be easily identified with the help of reading the Jouef catalogues or Jouef price lists. One difficulty, during many years, the Jouef train sets range was not included in the Jouef catalogues. An other difficulty to build a train set stocklist, was that Jouef gave the same reference number or given name (for example Paris-Rome train set) for a dedicated train set, but the train set contents could change from one year to an other year.
