Jouef put on market a large range of train sets in order to be the French market leader, by using a low cost policy against others brands, and
by train sets changes with new boxes or new contents but remaining the train sets names.
Most of train sets could be easily identified with the help of the Jouef catalogues or Jouef price lists. One difficulty, during many years,
the Jouef catalogues did not included the train sets range. An other difficulty, under the same given name (as example the Paris-Rome
train set),
the train set contents could change from one year to an other year.
